1. Using option ' a ',
4 + 6 × 8 ÷ 2 - 13
= 4 + 6 × 4 - 13
= 4 + 24 - 13 = 15.
So first option is correct.

2. Using option ' a ',
165 + 3 ÷14 × 3 - 19
= 165 + 14 - 19 = 160
Using option ' b ',
165 ÷ 3 + 14 - 3 × 19
= 55 + 14 - 57 = 12.
So second option ' b ' is correct.

3. In these type of problems, we use
B O D M A S - Rule. The hierarchy should be maintained.
B - Brackets ; O - of ; D - Division ;
M - Multiplication ; A - Addition ;
S - Subtraction.
56 ÷ 8 + 7 × 6 ÷ 3 - 81 ÷9
= 7 + 7 × 2 - 9
= 7 + 14 - 9 = 12.

4. {6 - (15 - 7) + 64 ÷ 4 ×3 - 7}
= {6 - (8) + 16 ×3 - 7}
= { - 2 + 48 - 7} = 39

5. 36 × 24 ÷ 8 + 5 - 6
= 36 × 3 + 5 - 6
= 108 + 5 - 6 = 107

6. 28 P 7 Q 56 S 14 R 7
= 28 ÷ 7 × 56 - 14 + 7
= 4 × 56 - 14 +7
= 224 - 14 + 7 = 217

7. 15 × 5 ÷ 3 + 3 - 8
= 15 ÷ 5 - 3 ×3 +8
= 3 - 9 + 8 = 11 - 9 = 2

8. 6 - 9 + 8 × 4 ÷ 15
= 6 + 9 × 8 ÷ 4 - 15
= 6 + 9 × 2 - 15
= 6 + 18 - 15 = 9

q×s©r => q + s = r => q < r and s < r

10. p = q ∆ r = s => p - q < r - s
